The Gibson X Hi SugarPlum Collection Is Affordable And Colorful

Anyone counting down to a spring getaway or just a spring weather break? I know I am. Well, today’s post will make sure we’re ready for spring no matter when it comes for you. My homegirl, Cassie of Hi SugarPlum, just launched her , and it’s a must-shop for spring.

The collection is filled with colorful pieces that scream warm-weather-getaway. And, get this. The line is affordable (nothing over $80) and size-inclusive (petites to plus). I’m so proud of Cassie and what she has achieved with this collection. Now, check out my favorite items.

Chambray stripe co-ords

Gibson x Hi Sugarplum Sedona Wide Leg Ankle Pants

Twin sets or co-ords have been all the rage in fashion for a minute. No surprise, right? They’re so easy to wear. And, with the right set, like this one, you also have separates that you can mix and match.

I was instantly drawn to this  and  because of the chambray stripe print. I just knew these pieces could hold down my spring style. After all, stripes go with everything, especially chambray stripes. Once I received the set, though, I was blown away by the gauzy material. It feels so soft and luxurious. It also makes the pieces flow effortlessly.

For size reference, I’m wearing the shirt and pants in size small. By the way, if you’re used to sizing up in pants, you probably won’t need to do that in this pair. The wide-leg silhouette so easily accommodates hips. The pull-on style, paperbag waist makes it super easy to fit as well.

I plan to have so much fun styling these items together and separately.

Fern print maxi dress

A is a must for spring. And, this one, which comes in 2 prints and also black, is the perfect throw-on-and-go essential for the warm weather season. It has a flowing silhouette, a racerback cut, and pockets. Win-win-win!

I’m wearing the in the Pink/Green Fern option. I’m also wearing it in my usual size small, which fits perfectly.

I’ll definitely be packing this dress on my next trip home to St. Kitts. It’s the kind of dress that can take you from a day at the beach to dinner overlooking the ocean.

This New Lilly Pulitzer Print Is Fabulous

What can I say? I’m a Lilly Pulitzer fan. As an island gal, the brand’s resort lifestyle is familiar. I love the brand so much that I even put my mom on to it (see her Lilly style here). In general, I favor Lilly Pulitzer styles in solids (see past favorites here and here). When the new Lilly Pulitzer gingham print dropped, though, I knew I had to have it.

Gingham is undoubtedly an IT print of summer this year. I’ve been taking full advantage of that (see evidence here, here, and here). If you’re looking for a fresh spin on the classic print, the new hand-painted gingham print by Lilly Pulitzer has your name on it. I’m rocking the print dress (shop it ), but you must see all the styles it’s available on at the end of this post.

Naturally, I couldn’t resist a . Lilly Pulitzer pieces like this dress are go-tos for summer because they’re so versatile. You can wear the dress with sandals like I did above. You can dress it down even further with a more casual sandal, even flip-flops. And, if you need to dress it up, you can do that too.

Wondering about fit? I’m wearing a size small, but I believe I could achieve a better fit with an XS. So, I recommend sizing down in this style.

This is My Kind of Winter Blues

I got a fairly warm welcome back to St. Louis following my trip home to St. Kitts. But, winter is showing up and showing out this weekend in the Lou. Cue the winter blues! Talking about blue, classic navy blue is one of the IT colors of the spring. I’m here for that because navy is such a lovely color to anchor a wardrobe.

One of my current favorite navy blue pieces is the Lilly Pulitzer Sanilla dress (see more Lilly styles here). It’s a stunning off-the-shoulder silk dress. I rocked it on vacation, and I can’t wait to wear it all summer long. If you’d like to add some classic navy to your wardrobe right now, check out the curated selection of styles at the end of this post.
