The Scarf Print Trend Continues To Be Huge This Year

Scarf prints were a huge trend in 2018. If you were a fan, you’ll be excited to know that the trend is holding strong this year. The updates? Silky scarf prints are getting more colorful. As you can imagine, I’m so here for that.

Zara was a go-to source for scarf print styles last fall. If there’s an item you had your eye on, you might get lucky and get it for about 60% off right now. Remember my favorite style? It’s now on major sale with limited sizes left. I will certainly be rocking that dress into spring because of its perfect-for-spring colors.

Today’s dress is another discounted Zara find. When the price dropped below $20, I couldn’t resist ordering one. It comes in a few difference designs. I gravitated toward this one because it looked like a perfect complement to my . I was right. I’ve been so pleased with how versatile this standout belt has been (see it styled here, here, herehere, and here).

Would you believe it’s been warm enough for me to be outside with no tights nor coat in St. Louis? The temperature has been in the 60s for a minute. But, we’re currently preparing for some serious snowfall today. I fully enjoyed the warm weather while I could.

Go For Bold And Bright Blazers This Year

The power suit trend for women has gone from fad of the moment to a movement. And, in 2019, the movement is getting louder, bolder, and brighter. If you buy one new thing this year, let it be a standout blazer. Bright blazers are must-haves you can wear right now and also use to transition your style through the seasons. Want to know how to choose the right color? Spin a color wheel.

No doubt, one of my favorite trends from 2019 runways is the bold power suit trend. A power suit, especially in a bright color offers so many fun styling possibilities. You can go matchy matchy by rocking a blazer and trousers in the same bright hue. You can get creative and block different colors together. Or, you can dress your suit separates down by pairing them with more casual pieces.

In today’s look, I dressed down my (see as well) by pairing it with jeans. Even this casual combination offers serious versatility. I could dress the look down even further by wearing flats or sneakers. I could make the look more polished by choosing dark rinse jeans. Serious style versatility, right!?!

What’s your favorite bright for a blazer? I’m on the lookout for a deep orange and a rich yellow style.

The Best Statement Coats For Your Holiday Shindig

This post is sponsored by .

Coats have an important job–keeping us warm when it’s cold out in these streets. Since they’re also the most visible part of our outfits this time of year, they should be fabulous as well. After all, a good can make or break an outfit. I’ve been shopping for statement coats to dress up my style this holiday season. And, I encountered a gold mine of fabulousness at , the new collective boutique now open in .

Today, I’m sharing two of my favorite statement coats now at Kindred. They’re fuzzy and fabulous. And, the best part? You won’t need to break the bank to make a statement in these beauties. They’re both super affordable.

Both coats in today’s post are from Adorn, one of 7 featured boutiques in the St. Louis location of Kindred. I was instantly drawn to the pieces by this boutique because of the impeccable details.

The texture on this coat makes it look so luxurious. But, the chain trim takes its luxe level to new heights.

For a perfect holiday party look, I paired the fuzzy coat with my velvet jumpsuit and some glitter pumps.

My jumpsuit is old, and I’ve worn it so much (see here). This coat breathed new life into it though.

Let’s face it. Leopard prints are the style heroes of fall 2018. So, I was stopped in my tracks when I spotted (pun totally intended) this next leopard print statement coat.

The coat is soft and warm. Also important, it is fabulous! I’d been having fun pairing my  with prints (see more here, here, and here), so I wanted to see how this coat would look belted. Issa hit!

Did I mention how cozy this coat feels? It’s a major fashion win when comfort meets fabulous.

Faux Fur Vest: A Luxe Topper For The Holidays

I love adding jazzy touches to my style during the holiday season, even when I’m just wearing my and a . And, a faux fur topper, whether it be a vest or a jacket, is perfect for being a little extra this time of year. I got lucky and found this gorgeous vest in a Burlington store years ago (see it worn 4 ways before here)

Last Sunday, I was running late to brunch. With no outfit planned, I reached for jeans and a tissue turtleneck. By the way, I love these from J.Crew Factory. I was wearing the in this post. Just so you know, they’re on sale for less than $15 right now. For size reference, a small fits me perfectly.

My casual combination got a holiday vibe when I added this fabulous vest. If you like this style of vest, you will absolutely love this (on sale).

To play with color a bit, I wore my burgundy Tory Burch bag. Don’t you just love how burgundy complements grey hues?

I finished the look with my  (on sale). The shaft on these boots is taller than a typical ankle boot, and I find them quite versatile because of that little detail.
