One thing is certain this fall. Animal prints are taking over. We’ve talked a lot about leopard prints already because leopard prints are my top choice for walking on the wild side (read more here, here, and here). But, there are endless options. Today, let’s talk about another one of those options–snake prints. Be sure to check out all the top snake print styles at the end of the post.

I found my blouse at Zara. I was immediately drawn to the style because of the striking snake print. It’s a dark and moody take on the print. I was also drawn to the flowy fit and luxe-looking fabric on the blouse.
Given the oversized fit of the blouse, I have the option of wearing it as a tunic with . So, I did just that. Doing so gave me the perfect excuse to bring out my new . They’ve got a beautiful slouchy design and a slightly higher shaft than a typical ankle boot.
In lieu of a belt to cinch the waist of the oversized top, I added my go-to , wearing it as a belt bag. This little bag was a big investment, but a year later, I’m still reaching for it often. And, I’ve gotten so much wear out of it already (see examples here, here, here, and here).
Like my gorgeous circle earrings with the pearl accent? They come in the coolest gift set of earrings at J.Crew Factory (explore the set ).

You simply can’t go wrong with a classic pair of black booties. Classic, though, doesn’t have to be boring. These black booties prove just that. They’re timeless, chic, and quite interesting. They’ll pair perfectly with fall dresses (like blazer dresses) and so much more.

P.S. I already own style #2 above. I wanted an ankle bootie with a slightly higher shaft. Stay tuned to see how I’ll be rocking ’em.
Warm and cozy scarves are essentials for fall and winter. No doubt about that. This season, blanket scarves are especially having a moment. I’m glad about that because they keep you nice and toasty, but they can be such style heroes as well. You’ve seen me rock one as a shawl before (see here). Today, my scarf is serving as a crucial layer and a central element in this mixed-print ensemble.

My scarf is an older style from Mix + Match, a St. Louis boutique. J.Crew Factory has a similar style (see it ) that comes in 4 different prints.

It’s getting cold outside, but that doesn’t mean you have to pack away your dresses. I’m definitely not doing that because I’m really digging dresses at the moment, and I want to wear any one I want when I want. Here are some styling tricks I rely on to do just that. To demonstrate, I’m wearing my Zara scarf print dress (seen before here).

Layering is the smartest and easiest way to ensure your dresses feel weather appropriate. Add a thermal top, add tights, add leggings, the options are endless. Choose the one that best suits the situation. For my current weather, do the trick.
Add A Coat
All kinds of coats look fabulous with dresses. From peacoats to leather jackets, there is a complementary topper for every dress. I can still get away with a lightweight jacket, and my moto jacket pairs well with this scarf print dress.
Boots add an edgy vibe to dresses, and they keep your toes warm. This particular pair of Rockport Total Motion Lynix Zip booties definitely brings the edge with its exposed zipper. Like Rockport booties? Use the code ROCKPORTBLOGGER25 to get 25% off your purchase.
