Print Mixing: Adam Lippes for Target

The launched last Sunday, and it’s filled with pieces in striking plaid prints. I purchased a couple items in the collection—the  ($29.99) and the  ($27.99). The line-crossing plaid on both items is playful, sophisticated, and versatile. I have plans to mix and match these prints season after season.

In today’s look, my is anchoring a mixed print ensemble that blends plaid, bows, and florals. The combination sounds complicated, but my Kate Spade “abstract bow” infinity scarf and Sophia Webster for J.Crew floral pumps seamlessly connect with the Adam Lippes plaid tank.

I’m also wearing a pair of jogger pants, my go-to comfy-chic bottom. Naturally, I loved the  ($29.99), but since I already own this pair in black, I passed.

My  is holding my daily essentials. See just how much I pack in the bag in the Totes Ready for Fall post.

Today’s images were taken at the Columbia Iron Works building in my neighborhood. You’ve seen the location before in this Travel Style post. You’ve also seen a neighboring building with a cool ghost sign in this Mad About Plaid post.

You look so lovely. How do you keep manage to purchase so many beautiful clothes and stay within a good budget? How do you figure what to spend on clothes and shoes?

Thanks so much. That's such a great question. I set a monthly budget that I'm willing and able to spend on clothing/shoes. I prioritize pieces that are versatile, timeless, and add value to my existing wardrobe. Taking that approach allows me to create many outfits from the pieces I own.
