“Fashion the Vote”

Rock the vote. So, Zac Posen launched a fashion the vote challenge to dress up to cast your ballot today. To show support for the candidates I back, my entry would channel Michelle O style, something like this belted dress look.

But, since I have the day off, the look is quite casual. A swingy, crimson red striped, French terry top is layered over a cream camisole. The tops are worn with very comfortable straight leg stretch jeans. Black patent flats with standout gold ring accents complete the look.

Top—Old Navy
Cami—Old Navy
Jeans—Banana Republic Factory Store
Shoes—Juicy Couture via Marshalls

Love that look – equally patriotic as a Michelle tribute outfit!

way to dress for the occasion.

nice top. i like the looseness of it and how you’ve got the white cami peeping from under. shirt peeping from under other shirt is one of my favorite looks.

    Tres cool!

I wanted to wear red white & blue to vote too, but being the pro-cras-ti-nator that I am, I woke up on election day to discover that I had nothing red to wear on a cold day! Not even a t-shirt! I couldn't believe it. But I had to get on with it because I was just determined to cast my vote in the morning to avoid crowds in the evening.

Sooooooo, I ended up wearing … burgundy. With blue and white. Kind of red, but not red enough for my taste. So that's the new item on my shopping list: something red!

Of course, it all worked out in the end and I'm STILL walking around on a cloud about our new President and the gorgeous First Family! But I still need to follow the First Lady's example and get me something red.

Hey there! I’ve been reading your blog for a few weeks now, but this is my first ever comment! Just wanted to say I love your style – so classic and always put-together. Love these jeans on you, and love the flats. Perfect voting outfit!
